Army Arrests 15-Year-Old ISWAP Courier Tied to Jilli Attacks
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have detained a 15-year-old boy in Ngamdu, Borno State. Security sources say he served as a logistics courier for ISWAP fighters. The suspect, identified as Tijjani, confessed to moving N850,000 from Jilli to fund attacks on Benisheik and Ngamdu. He admitted to supplying weapons and coordinating travel along the Ngamdu–Benisheik corridor. Military officials link his arrest to recent precision airstrikes on the Jilli axis. They say this case reveals how insurgents rely on minors to run their supply networks. Authorities continue to investigate other fighters believed to be hiding in Jilli following sustained surveillance and air operations.
