Three Arrested in Edo Over Alleged Abduction and Abuse of 16-Year-Old Girl
The Edo State Security Corps says it has arrested three suspects over the alleged abduction, sexual abuse and cyberbullying of a 16-year-old girl in the Egbai community area along Sapele Road. Officials said the girl was allegedly lured through social media by a suspect posing as a woman. She was reportedly taken to a house after being invited to meet the supposed online friend. The suspects allegedly demanded a ₦2 million ransom from her family and recorded videos of the victim without her consent. The security corps said the girl was rescued after an investigation, while the suspects and relevant evidence have been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
