My Experience With the ₦75,000 Conditional Cash Transfer Scheme
I can confirm from my own experience that the conditional cash transfer programme is being paid to some beneficiaries. Although I do not support the APC, my name appeared on the beneficiary list and I received the first ₦25,000 payment. The ₦75,000 is not paid as one lump sum. It is expected to be disbursed in three instalments of ₦25,000. I also know people who say they have received the full amount. There may be payment delays or unsuccessful transactions for some beneficiaries, but the scheme appears to be reaching people without regard to party affiliation. Criticism is important, but the payments that have been made should also be acknowledged.
