Why Online Businesses Get Enquiries but Few Paying Customers
Many Nigerian online businesses get views, ad clicks and WhatsApp enquiries but still struggle to turn interest into sales. The issue may not always be a lack of traffic. It may be a lack of trust, clarity or a convincing reason to buy. Before paying, customers often want to know whether a seller is genuine, what they will receive, how the service will help them and whether their money is safe. If a business page, offer or reply process does not answer these questions, interested people may leave without buying. Getting attention is only the first step. Businesses should also examine what happens after a customer clicks an advert, visits a page, asks for prices or sends a message. Have you received plenty of enquiries but few actual sales? What do you think usually stops interested customers from paying?
