Police Arrest FCT Mother Over Newborn’s Death, Make Murder and Kidnap Arrests Nationwide

Police say a 27-year-old woman has been arrested in the FCT after the body of a newborn boy was found in a bush following a distress call. The case has been transferred to the FCT Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. The Nigeria Police Force also reported murder-related arrests in Kogi and Kano states. In Rivers, three suspects accused of armed robbery, kidnapping and murder were arrested, with firearms and ammunition recovered. Police also said abducted farm workers were rescued in Kano, while a five-year-old girl was rescued in the FCT. Investigations into the reported cases are ongoing across the affected states.
