Plateau Family Demands Justice After Brother Beaten to Death Over Mistaken Fulani Identity
Hannatu Bello says her brother, Abdullahi, left home on Sunday and was later found unconscious near Rantiya in Jos South LGA of Plateau State. A police officer notified the family that unknown individuals had beaten him and taken him to Dadin Kowa Hospital. Officers reported that vigilantes discovered him around 3:00 a.m. on Monday, believing he was Fulani. His body bore machete wounds and marks of strangulation. He never regained consciousness and later died in hospital. Hannatu insists her brother was not Fulani and is urging the Plateau State Police Command to investigate thoroughly. The family wants the police to track his last calls, arrest the perpetrators and ensure justice is served for Abdullahi.
