Kwankwaso Says He Is Open to Reconciling With Kano Governor Yusuf

Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso says he is willing to reconcile with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf despite the political rift between them. Kwankwaso said in a BBC Hausa interview that he still holds Yusuf in high regard and would not reject him if he chose to return. Yusuf left the NNPP, under which he won the 2023 governorship election, for the APC. Kwankwaso pointed to his past disagreements with former governor Abdullahi Ganduje, arguing that political differences should not become permanent divisions. Governor Yusuf has not publicly responded to the reconciliation offer.
