Wike Questions Atiku’s Anti-Corruption Stance Ahead of 2027
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has criticised former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar over his comments urging Nigerians to collect money offered by ruling-party politicians during elections. Speaking at a town hall meeting in Obio-Akpor, Rivers State, Wike said Atiku lacked the moral standing to present himself as an anti-corruption campaigner. He also described a proposed Atiku-Amaechi ADC ticket as a “joint ticket of corruption.” Wike referenced former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s past criticism of Atiku and argued that the ADC would struggle to secure 25 per cent of the votes in Rivers State.
