Tinubu’s 2023 Promises: What Has Been Delivered, and What Still Needs Proof?
More than three years after President Bola Tinubu took office, Nigerians are still measuring his Renewed Hope promises against daily realities. His government has introduced major reforms and programmes in the economy, infrastructure, education, agriculture and security. But many households continue to face high food, transport and electricity costs, while insecurity and unemployment remain serious concerns. The key issue is not only whether policies have been announced. Nigerians need verifiable evidence of what has changed. This includes the number of sustainable jobs created, improvements in power supply, completed roads, support reaching farmers and students, and whether communities are safer from attacks and kidnapping. As the 2027 election approaches, the Federal Government should publish clear targets, spending records, project updates and independently checkable results. Citizens should be able to compare each 2023 promise with what was funded, implemented, completed or left unfinished. The real test of the administration’s record is whether its reforms have produced measurable improvements in living standards, food affordability, security, education and economic opportunity.
