Polaris Bank Manager Killed, Two Students Abducted in FUTO Attack

Polaris Bank has mourned the death of one of its branch managers, Mr Ossy, who was reportedly shot by suspected kidnappers at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Imo State. The banker was said to be dropping off his children, who are students of the university, when gunmen attacked him on Sunday. His children reportedly escaped, but he later died from gunshot injuries. FUTO confirmed that a visitor was killed during the security breach and said two female students were abducted by the fleeing gunmen. The university and police authorities say they are working to secure the students’ release and strengthen security around the campus and nearby communities. No arrests have been announced, and investigations are ongoing.
