Sowore Condemns Blockade of Peter Obi’s Convoy in Benue
Omoyele Sowore has condemned the reported blockade of Peter Obi’s convoy in Benue State, describing the incident as political brigandage. Sowore said he saw videos showing Obi being prevented from entering Makurdi. Obi had said his visit was for humanitarian purposes, not campaign activities. The AAC presidential candidate alleged that agents of the Benue State Government and the Tinubu administration were responsible. He said no candidate should face violence, intimidation or thuggery while moving or campaigning freely in Nigeria. Sowore warned that those behind the incident were threatening Nigerians’ democratic rights and should stop immediately.
