Student Dies After Accidental Classroom Shooting at Atlanta Technical College

A student died and another was injured after a firearm accidentally discharged inside a classroom at Atlanta Technical College on Monday, October 20. Police said the gunshot struck a student in the leg. The student carrying the firearm later left the classroom and was found in a bathroom with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The injured student was taken to hospital and is expected to recover. Authorities described the incident as isolated, and the college said the campus has been secured and normal operations have resumed.
