Wike Promises Apo-Karshi Road Completion in 2026, Bwari-Kubwa by Year-End

Wike Promises Apo-Karshi Road Completion in 2026, Bwari-Kubwa by Year-End

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says the Apo-Karshi road project will be completed before the end of 2026, while the Bwari-Kubwa (Chikakore) road is expected to be commissioned before year-end. After inspecting both sites, Wike said the FCT Administration would maintain funding and supervision to keep contractors on schedule. He noted that the Apo-Karshi project, first awarded in 2010, had faced years of delays before work resumed, with streetlight installation now underway. The minister also warned against illegal street racing on newly completed roads in Abuja. He directed traffic authorities to take action, stressing that better roads must not come at the expense of public safety.
