Troops of the Nigerian Army, working with the Civilian Joint Task Force, arrested five female suspects accused of supplying logistics to terrorist groups in Ngurusoye village, Borno State. The suspects were intercepted by troops of the 151 Task Force Battalion at about 6:48 p.m. on August 17, 2026, following intelligence reports. Items recovered included 65 packs of sweets, 117 packs of biscuits, 167 sachets of salt and other provisions. The suspects and recovered items were handed over to the 21 Special Anti-Banditry Mobile Police Regiment for investigation. The operation is part of ongoing efforts under Operations Hadin Kai and Desert Sanity V to disrupt insurgents’ supply networks in the North-East.
