Kano APC Ward Chairman and Resident Killed in Suspected Kidnap Attack

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers reportedly attacked Rantan community in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State on Sunday, August 30. The attack claimed the lives of the APC chairman for Rantan Ward, Alhaji Garba Buba, and a resident, Sulaiman Zunduma. Buba was reportedly taken to a hospital after being shot but later died, while Zunduma was said to have died at the scene. The incident followed the reported rescue of the Sarkin Noman of Kano State, Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo Chiromawa, who was abducted in Garun Malam Local Government Area. Five people were reportedly injured during that earlier abduction.
