Ogun 2027: Olopade Endorses Senator Yayi, Calls on Ogun Youth to Heed Tinubu’s Inclusion Agenda
As Nigeria prepares for the 2027 elections, Director-General of the National Sports Commission Bukola Olopade urged Ogun State youth to engage actively in politics. He made the call at an interfaith prayer event in Abeokuta where he formally backed Senator Olamilekan Adeola “Yayi” for governor. Represented by his Special Adviser Abiola Odetola, Olopade aligned his support with President Bola Tinubu’s youth inclusion and capacity-building vision. He praised Tinubu’s policies as catalysts for a new wave of political participation across the country. Olopade stressed that young people must advance beyond rallies to take on governance roles at state and national levels. He said structured empowerment and generational renewal are essential for sustainable progress in Ogun and Nigeria at large. Organized by the Yayi Youth Vanguard under the theme “Consolidating a Brighter Future for Ogun Youth,” the event drew thousands from all three senatorial districts. Convener Olamide Lawal added that active youth involvement is the key to influencing positive change and good governance.
