APGA Primaries in Ogbaru 1: Aspirants Demand Cancellation Over Alleged Rigging
Frontline APGA aspirants have called for the nullification of the Ogbaru 1 State Constituency primaries held on May 23. They accuse the incumbent, Hon. Noble Igwe, of orchestrating violence and introducing irregularities across six wards. Chief Hon. Kenneth Akwuobi and Hon. Stephen Nnamezie say Igwe printed fake accreditation cards and imported thugs to disrupt votes in Wards 1–6. APGA youth leader Elochukwu Alagbaosu adds that he was beaten while trying to stop the chaos. Igwe denies all allegations, insisting the cards were campaign materials and that he only went to Ward 3 to assist. Police confirm they recovered the printed papers but made no arrests. Party members now urge APGA to order a rerun or disqualify the incumbent to uphold fairness in the nomination process.
