Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai shared a brief affectionate moment with his wife as he arrived at the Federal High Court in Abuja for his alleged wiretapping trial. The court dismissed his no-case submission, holding that the prosecution had presented enough evidence for the matter to continue. El-Rufai, who has pleaded not guilty to allegations of unlawfully intercepting the phone communications of National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, has been ordered to open his defence. The case was adjourned until November 25, 2026.
