72-Year-Old Man Arrested Over Alleged Murder of Ghanaian Designer and Her Uncle
Ghanaian police have arrested 72-year-old Samuel Christopher Osei Anto over the deaths of fashion designer Irene Atugugba, 47, and her uncle, George Atugugba, 57, at the NTHC Estate in Sakumono, Greater Accra. Police said the arrest was made on November 1 at a hideout near Ejisu in the Ashanti Region. Investigators believe the case may be linked to an alleged financial dispute involving a GH₵500,000 loan. A Smith & Wesson pistol and seven rounds of ammunition were reportedly recovered during the operation. The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
