Two Badung Family Members Killed in Midnight Raid on Kogot Village

At about 11:00pm on Monday, May 11, 2026, gunmen stormed Kogot village in Vwang (Vom) District, Jos South LGA, Plateau State. They shot and killed octogenarian Ngo Shettu Badung, 78, and his 52-year-old relative, Danjuma Badung. The victims were family members of the chairman of the local Berom Youths Moulder Association. According to the association’s publicity secretary, the attack came after the military arrested eight local guards from Vwang at Danwal in Ganawuri chiefdom. Residents believe the raid was carried out by terrorist gangs operating under the guise of Fulani militancy.
