US Man Charged With Killing Older Brother in Alleged Jealousy-Fuelled Dispute

A 21-year-old man, Breylon Roberts, has been charged with first-degree premeditated homicide over the death of his 23-year-old brother, Trey Cameron Roberts, at their family home in Southfield, Michigan. Police said the incident happened on October 19 after years of reported tension between the brothers. Investigators believe resentment over Trey’s career success and the respect he received from relatives and friends may have contributed to the conflict. Authorities said footage from a neighbouring property captured sounds of gunfire and later showed Breylon leaving the home with the family dog. Their 17-year-old sister reportedly found Trey when she returned home and alerted emergency services. Breylon has pleaded not guilty and was denied bail. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
