New York Man Pleads Guilty to Murdering Ex-Girlfriend After Breakup
A New York man, Damon Foy, has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the 2024 death of his former girlfriend, Alberta Dale. Authorities said Dale's family reported her missing after becoming concerned for her welfare. Deputies later found her car outside Foy's home and recovered her phone after it was discovered by a member of the public. Investigators searched Foy's apartment and found Dale's remains in a suitcase. Court records also indicated that Dale had previously raised concerns about domestic violence and warned that Foy could harm her. Under a plea agreement, Foy is expected to receive a prison sentence of 23 years to life.
