Ogun Man Arrested for Long-Term Incest and Five Forced Abortions
The Ogun State Police have detained Oluwadamilare Ewedemi for allegedly abusing his daughter over several years and forcing her to terminate five pregnancies. The abuse began in 2019 in Ijebu Ode, according to the survivor’s report to Ifo Division detectives. The 21-year-old explained that after her mother’s death, she lived in a motherless home in Ikeja. In 2019, her father brought her to Ijebu Ode under the guise of care but repeatedly abused her, resulting in multiple pregnancies. She escaped his home on February 1, 2026, and sought refuge in a Pakoto-area church. The formal complaint was filed on March 26, after which police swiftly arrested the suspect. The case is now with the Gender Desk for detailed investigation and prosecution.
