Odogwu Asaba’s Wife Says Alleged Encounter Was Consensual as Police Investigation Continues

She acknowledged that her husband allegedly had an affair with the deceased but rejected the claim that he sexually assaulted her. She said she was hurt by the alleged relationship but did not believe it was rape. Police arrested Ogbonna after receiving a petition alleging that the woman travelled to Asaba after he offered to mentor her in content creation. Investigators are examining the assault allegation and the circumstances surrounding her death. No formal charges have been announced.
