Speeding Truck Collides at Soka Junction, Kills Two and Injures Several
The Oyo State Police Command confirms two people died after a white HOWO truck driven by Abdullahi Bashiru lost control at Soka Junction on the Ibadan–Lagos Expressway around 10:10 p.m. on April 4, 2026. The speeding vehicle slammed into a Toyota Venza and a BMW before striking bystanders. Several others suffered injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals. Emergency responders arrived quickly to evacuate victims from the chaotic scene. Police have urged motorists to observe traffic regulations and avoid overspeeding on busy highways.
