UK Court Bars Man Deemed Risk to Women From Female-Only Spaces and Unmonitored Internet Use
A 29-year-old Cheltenham man described by police as a self-proclaimed misogynist has been placed under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, despite having no conviction for a sexual offence. The order bars him from entering, using or loitering near women’s public toilets, changing rooms and other female-only spaces until August 2031. Police said he had a history of unprovoked violence against women and repeatedly breached earlier civil orders. He must register any internet-enabled device with police, keep its internet history and location data available for inspection, and cannot own more than one such device. He is also prohibited from using accounts on platforms that promote incel ideology. Breaching the order could lead to arrest and a prison sentence of up to five years, according to Gloucestershire police.
