OSSAP-SDGs Rejects Contract Fraud Claims, Defends Project Pricing
The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (OSSAP-SDGs) has denied allegations of improper contract awards and payments. It described the claims as false and misleading, and said it carries out due diligence before completing procurement processes. The office said it initiates and processes payments for completed work, then uploads them to the government payment portal. The Accountant-General of the Federation is responsible for finalising payments, subject to available funds. OSSAP-SDGs also said project costs depend on specifications, quantities and applicable government rates. It reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and responsible use of public funds, and urged the media to report accurately.
