Airport Worker Arraigned Over Alleged Sale Offer for Military Helicopter
The Airport Police Command has arraigned a 47-year-old airport worker over alleged impersonation and unauthorised access to restricted areas. Police said the suspect was handed over by the Nigerian Air Force investigation unit in Ikeja. Investigators allege that he posted a social-media video on 7 October, presenting himself as the owner of two military combat helicopters and offering one for sale. The case has been adjourned until 18 November 2026. The command warned that such conduct could create serious security risks and urged airport operators to strengthen staff screening and background checks.
