Lagos to Divert Traffic on Oke-Afa Bridge for Three Weeks From August 28

Lagos State will begin a three-week traffic diversion on Oke-Afa Bridge, Isolo, from Friday, August 28 to Friday, September 18, 2026, to allow rehabilitation work. The repairs will be carried out in two phases. From August 28 to September 11, the Isolo-to-Ejigbo section will be affected. Vehicles will share the Isolo-bound carriageway between Pako Roundabout and Mobil Filling Station. The second phase, from September 12 to 18, will affect traffic heading from Ejigbo towards Isolo. Motorists will be diverted to the Ejigbo-bound carriageway before rejoining the main route at Pako Roundabout. Traffic officials and an emergency tow vehicle will be deployed to manage congestion and clear broken-down vehicles. Motorists using the Isolo-Ejigbo axis are advised to plan ahead and follow diversion signs.
