One Killed, Six Injured in Bauchi Village Clash
One person has died and six others were injured after youths from Buskuwa and Mabani villages clashed in Gamawa Local Government Area of Bauchi State. Police said three youths from Mabani were allegedly attacked with sticks while travelling to Buskuwa at about 8pm on August 24. The incident reportedly triggered a reprisal attack later that night. During the reprisal, youths allegedly entered Buskuwa and assaulted residents. Muhammadu Dare was confirmed dead at the scene, while three victims were admitted to General Hospital, Gamawa. Three others were treated and discharged. The police said one suspect has been arrested, while efforts are continuing to identify and apprehend other people involved.
