My Critique of Peter Obi’s Anambra Record and 2027 Prospects
I remember the period when elections were held in Anambra while Peter Obi was governor. In my view, his confidence that he could not be removed as an incumbent contrasts with the current belief among his supporters that an incumbent president can be defeated in 2027. I also question his political legacy in Anambra. I believe his attempts to influence succession after leaving office did not always produce the results he expected. His past support for APGA as an Igbo political platform, followed by support for candidates outside the party, also raises questions for me. Peter Obi has built strong support among young people and online users. However, I do not think online enthusiasm alone can defeat an incumbent, especially with an opposition that appears divided. I expect disagreement, but I would prefer logical and respectful replies over insults or curses.
