Enugu Restricts Vehicular Movement From 6am to 4pm for Saturday’s LG Elections

Enugu State has announced a statewide restriction on vehicular movement from 6am to 4pm on Saturday, September 26, 2026, for local government elections across its 17 councils. The election will choose 17 local government chairmen and councillors for 260 wards. The restriction is intended to support a peaceful and orderly voting process. Election officials, accredited observers and journalists, deployed security personnel, health workers, ambulances and firefighters are exempt. Residents have been urged to comply with the directive and vote peacefully.
