Presidency Adviser Daniel Bwala Calls Rufai Oseni a ‘Narcissistic OAP’ After Arise TV Clash
The Presidency has criticised Arise TV host Rufai Oseni after a heated on-air exchange with his colleague, Reuben Abati, during the station’s Morning Show. The disagreement followed Rufai’s reaction to a video in which FCT Minister Nyesom Wike said he would work for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. Rufai questioned why Wike, a PDP leader, would support an APC candidate and used the term “Gbewudani” to describe the PDP presidential candidate’s silence. Abati warned that the comment could expose the station to legal action. Reacting afterwards, presidential aide Daniel Bwala described Rufai as a “narcissistic OAP masquerading as a journalist” and accused him of frequently defaming others.
