NAFDAC Finds Over 100 Sacks of Empty Bottles in Lagos Counterfeit Alcohol Probe

NAFDAC has uncovered a residential building in the Agbado Oke Odo area of Lagos where empty bottles of assorted alcoholic drinks were allegedly being stored for use in counterfeiting popular brands. The agency said more than 100 sacks of empty bottles were found and destroyed to prevent them from being reused to package suspected fake alcoholic beverages. NAFDAC said the discovery is part of its continuing crackdown on facilities linked to the production of substandard drinks and counterfeit alcohol.
