I’m Not In Love with Israel, but Propose a Better Peace Plan, Says Lebanon’s Aoun

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has asked critics to present an alternative to the new peace framework with Israel. He stressed he is “not in love with Israel” but wants a practical way to end hostilities. The deal outlines how and when Israeli troops will withdraw as the Lebanese army takes control of designated zones in the south. A US-facilitated Military Coordination Group will monitor progress. Israel will maintain a security buffer in southern Lebanon until all objectives are met.
