AMNI and TotalEnergies Approve $800m Ima Gas Project Offshore Bonny
AMNI International and TotalEnergies have reached a final investment decision on the $800 million Ima Gas Field project offshore Bonny Island, Rivers State. The field was discovered in 1973 and is now set for development after decades without production. The project is expected to deliver up to 350 million cubic feet of gas per day from 2028. This could supply about one-third of the gas required for Nigeria LNG’s Train 7 expansion. AMNI holds a 60% stake, while TotalEnergies holds 40% and will operate the project. Nigerian financial institutions arranged 77% of the financing, while host-community residents are expected to make up 60% of the workforce.
