ADC Rift Deepens: Lukman Quits Coalition, Blames El-Rufai and Amaechi

The crisis in the ADC-led opposition coalition escalated as Salihu Mohammed Lukman announced he is suspending all party and coalition activities. Lukman directly accused Nasir El-Rufai and his Kaduna allies of subjecting him to “painful hostile treatment” and reducing him to the status of a “bastard.” He also criticised Rotimi Amaechi for engaging Kaduna figures he described as having “questionable commitment,” warning that the ADC risks being marginalised in the 2027 elections.
