Court Fixes May 13 Trial Date for Alpha-Beta Whistleblower as Petitions Remain Unresolved

The case comes amid claims that the ICPC, EFCC and Lagos State Police Command have not acted on petitions alleging forgery, bribery and tax evasion involving officials connected to the company. Petitioners say the complaints were submitted and acknowledged months ago, but they have received no substantive updates. Oluwasanmi, a former employee, is facing prosecution over social-media posts that authorities said could cause a breach of peace. His supporters argue that the case is an attempt to silence him after he made allegations of financial and internal misconduct against the firm. The dispute has raised wider questions about whistleblower protection, accountability and whether allegations against politically connected interests are investigated fairly.
