Obasanjo, Shettima, Jonathan Attend Soludo’s Second-Term Inauguration in Anambra
Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim, were sworn in for a second term at the newly renovated Alex Ekwueme Square on Tuesday. The Chief Judge of Anambra State, Onochie Anyachebelu, administered the oath of office and allegiance at 11:05 a.m., in accordance with the Constitution. Both the governor and his deputy were joined by their wives and family members. The ceremony drew national heavyweights, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan. Their attendance underscored the event’s significance for Nigeria’s political landscape. Re-elected under the APGA platform in the November 2025 off-cycle election, Soludo now embarks on his second tenure amid high expectations for continued reforms and key development projects across Anambra State.
