New Zone 8 AIG Otimeyin Warns Criminals in Kogi and Kwara

Assistant Inspector-General of Police Betty Isopkan Otimeyin has warned bandits, kidnappers, fraudsters and other criminal groups operating in Kogi and Kwara states to abandon crime or face decisive action. Otimeyin issued the warning in Lokoja while assuming duty as the head of Zone 8 Police Command, which covers both states. She is the 34th AIG to lead the command and its first female head. She pledged to strengthen security through community policing and intelligence-led operations. The new commander also urged residents to support security agencies with useful information and charged officers to uphold discipline, professionalism and dedication.
