Yobe Court Jails 22-Year-Old for Raping 4-Year-Old Girl
A magistrate court in Injiyaji, Damaturu, has sentenced 22-year-old Rabilu Sani to 12 years in prison without the option of a fine. He was found guilty of raping a 4-year-old girl in Jakusko Local Government Area last year. Sani was arrested on November 9, 2025 and charged after authorities completed their investigation. The presiding magistrate confirmed the evidence and delivered the sentence based on the prosecution’s case. Medical tests conducted during the trial showed he is not HIV positive. The Yobe State Government, led by the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Ya Jalo Badama, championed the legal process to ensure justice for the child.
