New Music Friday: Fola and Davido, Phyno, Qing Madi and More

This week’s new releases lean towards reflective, mood-led Afrobeats, with Phyno, Vector and Moonshine delivering calmer songs with emotional themes. Fola teams up with Davido on the late-night love song “2 AM in Toronto”, while Phyno explores a smoother highlife-infused sound on “Beautiful”. Moonshine, Minz and Qing Madi stand out on “What a Feeling”, blending laid-back Afro-pop with soulful R&B vocals. Other releases include Kashcoming and Zaylevelten’s trap-influenced “CTRL”, Kohdee’s “Uwese” featuring Oxlade, Vector and Cynthia Ifie’s reflective “Dad & Dot”, and Wave$tar’s Lagos-rooted Afro-trap track “Ric Flair Drip”.
