Obi-Kwankwaso Ticket Faces Questions Over Conflicting Policy Positions

I watched Rabiu Kwankwaso’s interview with Adesuwa Giwa-Osagie and came away wondering whether the ticket has agreed on a common governing programme. On fuel subsidy, Peter Obi has argued that removal should remain while the savings are properly managed. Kwankwaso, however, said the ticket would bring back subsidy “in our own way.” Their positions also appeared to differ on state police and the future of government-owned refineries. Political partners can disagree, but a presidential ticket must eventually present clear decisions to voters. Nigerians deserve to know which position will guide the administration on subsidy, policing and refinery policy. The key question is whether this is a governing partnership with one programme, or an electoral alliance with separate policy agendas.
