Father Charged with Rape and Murder of His Two-Year-Old Daughter
A man has appeared at Guildford Crown Court accused of raping and killing his two-year-old daughter. Kevin Kerjean, 31, was charged last Saturday with murder, rape of a child under 13, and sexual assault of a child under 13. The court heard that officers discovered the girl dead at their home on Pyrcroft Road, Chertsey, following a safety concern report on June 25. The victim has been identified as Assia Kerjean. Kerjean, a French national born in the Central African Republic, was remanded by the court and will next appear on September 14. Surrey Police say detectives are still investigating how the child died. A senior officer described the case as tragic and thanked local residents for their cooperation.
