One Killed, Driver Injured in Three Overnight Road Incidents in Lagos
One person died after two granite-laden tipper trucks collided at Oke-Oso, inward Itokin in Epe, Lagos, on Saturday morning. LASEMA said one of the trucks reportedly suffered brake failure and lost control before the crash. The motor assistant of one truck was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. Emergency officials recovered the body and handed it to the Federal Road Safety Corps, while both trucks were moved from the road. In separate incidents, a Toyota Camry driver was injured after crashing into a Toyota Venza that had stopped on Odo-Iyalaro Bridge after running out of fuel. LASEMA also cleared a broken-down truck that blocked a large section of the road at Olosha in Mushin. The agency urged motorists to maintain their vehicles, avoid driving under the influence of alcohol and obey traffic regulations.
