New Reports Show Iran’s Drone Strike on U.S. Base in Kuwait Far More Devastating

New details reveal that the March 1 drone attack by Iran on a U.S. tactical operations center at Shuaiba port, Kuwait, was far more severe than initially reported. Six American soldiers were killed in the strike. More than 30 U.S. service members were hospitalized. Twenty of them suffered urgent injuries, including traumatic brain trauma, memory loss, and concussions. Patients were treated at Brooke Army Medical Center, Walter Reed in Washington, D.C., and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. On the day of the attack, U.S. Defense Department officials reported five serious wounds and a handful of minor shrapnel injuries. CBS News sources describe a “grim and chaotic scene” in the aftermath, underscoring the true severity of the assault.
