Police Foil Alleged Plot to Kidnap Abuja Prophetess After Church Testimony
Police have arrested four suspects over an alleged plan to kidnap an Abuja-based prophetess after she shared details of her business success during a church testimony. Investigators said the suspects allegedly planned to stage a road accident after an evening service, then abduct her. Her driver and the senior pastor's bodyguard were reportedly among those arrested. Police said intelligence operations stopped the alleged plot before it was carried out. A vehicle, a locally made firearm and a security uniform were reportedly recovered as investigations continue. The police have urged churches, especially those in isolated areas, to improve security and help members leave safely after late services. Worshippers were also advised to be careful about publicly sharing sensitive details of their finances, businesses and movements.
