Lagos Rep Ogbara Declines Handshake From APC Primary Winner Oshinowo

Kosofe Federal Constituency representative Kafilat Ogbara drew attention after declining a handshake from Dele Oshinowo at the Seyi Tinubu Colloquium in Lagos. Oshinowo, a former Agboyi-Ketu LCDA chairman, defeated Ogbara in the APC primary for the constituency ahead of the 2027 general election. In a video from the event, Ogbara remained seated and told him, “Well done, how are you? I cannot shake you.” The encounter reflects continuing tensions between the two politicians, who have previously disagreed over issues including the 2025 demolition of Owode-Onirin market. Oshinowo is expected to contest the House of Representatives seat in 2027, subject to electoral processes.
