Rufai Oseni Demands Account of Reported $3bn Spent on Port Harcourt Refinery

Arise Television anchor Rufai Oseni has called for a public explanation of the reported $3 billion spent on the Port Harcourt Refinery turnaround maintenance. Speaking on the station's Morning Show, Oseni questioned why President Bola Tinubu congratulated NNPCL over the refinery's revitalisation in September 2024, but later said the facility would return to operation. He argued that Nigerians deserve a detailed account of how the funds were used and whether the refinery was genuinely operational after the maintenance work.
