Newlywed Woman Remanded in Kano Over Alleged Killing of Husband After Party Dispute
A Kano Magistrate’s Court has remanded Khadija Sa’idu in a correctional facility over the alleged culpable homicide of her husband, Auwal Adam. Police alleged that an argument began after Sa’idu asked to attend a social gathering and her husband refused. She was accused of stabbing him in the chest and neck while he slept on a couch at their home in Hayin Lawal, Rimin Kebe, Kumbotso LGA. Adam was taken to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where he was confirmed dead. The court said the case file is awaiting legal advice from the state counsel and adjourned the matter until September 8.
